There are over 600 Mosaic laws in the Old Testament. One tends to ponder why we hold fast to the Ten Commandments and leave some 600 that we fail to print, publicize or recite. There have been court trials and court decisions surrounding the right to post the Ten Commandments in public or governmental buildings. Most notable is the matter of Judge Roy Moore, a circuit judge who wanted to post the Commandments in his courtroom. Judge Moore was defeated in this effort, but I wonder what would have transpired had he tried to post an expanded old testament listing of all of the Mosaic laws. Better yet, what if he had fought to post the Ten Commandments according to the New Testament condensed version.
